Here are some of my tips to overcome a plateau.โฃโฃ

โš ๏ธ๐“๐š๐ค๐ž ๐š ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ค ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  - if you are someone who has been going hardcore at your training, we'd recommend taking a break from it for a bit...even up to a week does really good to you.โฃ

This is just to give your body time to recover from the intense training stimulus. If you are heavy lifter, incorporating a "de-load" week every 6-8 weeks depending on your level of training, could benefit too. De-loading means you lower the weights and overall intensity of your workouts for a week rather than taking a complete rest.โฃโฃ

โš ๏ธ๐’๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐œ๐ก ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ž - Beginners or intermediates often plateau due to the repetition of similar workouts over a long period of time. Sometimes you just need to switch up your routine (entire or some of it) to challenge the body and ensure you follow progressive overload (increasing intensity of the workout - either by increasing the reps, sets or the weights).โฃโฃ

โš ๏ธ๐“๐š๐ค๐ž ๐š ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ค ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ž๐ญ - if you have been constantly in a caloric deficit over along period of time, incorporating refeed days or a diet break, could be beneficial. Slowly Incorporate few extra calories over a few days.โฃ

โš ๏ธ๐๐ž ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ - Don't take the decision to follow one of the above tips just based on a week or two of plateau. This is too short of a time frame to decide if you have actually reached a plateau or your body is adjusting to your routine.โฃ
