James
PULSE STAFF
I know what it’s like to be overweight—at my heaviest, I was 91kg. Through hard work and consistency, and at my lightest I weighed 72kg. I decided to travel to Phuket Thailand, to attend a fitness training camp (Tiger Muay Thai)— going twice, once in 2015 and again in 2016.
After losing the weight, I wanted to push myself further—so in 2016, I took on the challenge of running up and down the stairs of various stadiums across Australia and New Zealand. Some might call that crazy—and they’d be right! In 2017, I was selected to compete in New York City’s Empire State Building Run-Up—an intense race up 86 flights and 1,576 steps— which I completed in 30 minutes and 7 seconds. Only 250 people worldwide are selected every year. So, to be 1 of 250 people to be able to do it that year was awesome. Prior to getting into fitness – in my 20’s I was a DJ and DJ’d in numerous nightclubs in Sydney. So, I love listening to the 90’s and early 2000’s music and still have that on my Spotify playlist.
Outside of the gym, I worked in the education sector for 23 years but now I currently work from home for a tech company that specialises in online invigilation.

Jimmy
PERSONAL TRAINER, CLASS INSTRUCTOR
For much of my life I had been the fat kid. So yeah, I struggled with weight, consistency, and finding balance with fitness and nutrition. I know the frustration of feeling stuck, unhappy with how I looked and felt, and needing something to change. Like many of you, I juggled work, family, and the desire for a simpler, sustainable approach to health and fitness.
In 2019, I signed up for an 8-week transformation challenge, and it changed everything—I lost nearly 20kg and started a journey to reclaim my health and to this day still continue to prioritise cardiovascular, strength, and hypertrophy training while embracing the principles of longevity. I’m passionate about helping clients solve the challenges that I once faced, whether it’s losing weight, staying consistent, getting strong, or finding accountability and simplicity in a busy life.
I’ve helped people tackle real health and fitness obstacles to live longer, feel better, and sustain those changes. Together, we’ll find practical, lasting solutions tailored to your unique needs.

Anneliese
PERSONAL TRAINER, CLASS INSTRUCTOR
My mission in life is simple: to make a positive impact. That philosophy flows into everything I do — especially my work in health and fitness.
Whether you’re just starting out or ready to level up the progress you’ve already made, I’m here to guide, support and empower you every step of the way.
My own fitness journey began in my mid-teens, but like many people, my motivation came in waves. It wasn’t until my late twenties that my passion for health truly reignited — and with it came the drive to help others discover how strong, capable and confident they can feel through movement.
Today, I bring a high-energy, encouraging and person-centred approach to every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged, and inspired to work on the things that matter most to you. Fitness should enhance your whole life — not just your training sessions. I want you to move better, feel stronger, think clearer, and live happier.
Exercise shouldn’t feel like a chore. It should feel empowering — a reminder that you showed up for yourself and did something incredible for your physical and mental wellbeing.
No matter where you’re starting from or what stage of life you’re in, there is always an opportunity to take a positive step forward.
